Bring Guns to Bear

Bring Guns to Bear (BGB) is a simulation of modern era (WWI & WWII) tactical naval combat.

[All game files available below: Rule Book, Player Aids, Ship Database.] SCENARIOS AVAILABLE UNDER 'VARIANTS' FORUM.

Simple rules are employed for fast play while still retaining the essence of ‘big gun’ naval surface engagements.

Typically, up to 14 Individual ships may be represented in this hex and counter game (no rulers or protractors). Played by two players in opposition or as a solitaire game using the AI.

Movement by impulse allows reduced footprint and avoids extended range hex counts.

Dice rolls are always to some immediate purpose (not just to see what further table to roll on), either 2d6 or (2d6 + 1d6); no buckets of dice!

Separate targeting tables for WWI and WWII.

Ships weakened by damage become progressively more susceptible through reduced damage control capability.

Minimal logging requirements using simple strikethrough.

Includes random scenario generator.
