Bragging Rights

It's time for the flashiest auction of the year. To play Bragging Rights you'll need foresight, bluffing, and big kahunas! Each of you must splash the cash and try to buy the most valuable items in the auction. But wait… any money you have left over turns into bragging points! Will you gain enough points to earn the envy of your opponents and win?

Phase One of the game is the auction, where players bid for job lots for a chance of securing valuable Item Cards, from private yachts to diamond rings! There are four types of
collectible with the Item Cards. They are: Watches, Transport, Antiques and Crypto. Crypto is a trump suit. Will you manage to get your hands on items that are worth bragging about or will your opponents outbid you?

In Phase Two, it's time for the drinks party, get ready to compare and show off about your items!
Everyone picks up the Item Cards they won at auction.
The person who has the most money puts down any one of their Item Cards – face up. Each player must then put down an Item Card. When possible, Item Cards should match the type of the original card. If you can’t match the type, you may play any card – including Crypto. After you’ve all played one Item Card, it makes up a trick. A Crypto Card beats all other cards – even if the other cards have a higher value. The only way to beat a Crypto Card is to play one with a higher value!
Finally, if you can’t match the type, or play a Crypto Card, you still have to play an Item Card. Put down whatever you can. Unfortunately, it means you immediately lose the hand.
Whoever plays the highest Crypto Card wins the trick. If no one plays a Crypto Card, the person who played the highest Item Card of the original type wins the trick.

Bragging Rights ends after 12 rounds, when you’ll have played all your Item Cards. The person with the most tricks wins.
