Pine Tar Baseball
Pine Tar Baseball, designed by James Formo (designer of True to Life Baseball), is a fun and fast paced dice and card game for 1 or 2 players that brings the baseball season to life.
Ninety-five percent (not counting rolls on error checks which varies by season) of plays are resolved in 1 die roll and no play takes more than 2 rolls. A game of Pine Tar Baseball can be played in 18 to 30 minutes.
The player stats are color printed on sheets. Nine players maximum per sheet. The stats have an appearance of a card with a border around each player, but they are not cut out individually. Each team will have 2 player sheets with the 2nd sheet including the suggested starting line up for that team.
Pine Tar Baseball: 1884 Edition will feature 21 teams. Eight from the NL and 13 from the American Association. Roster sizes vary from team to team from 11 to 17 players. Most teams will have 16 players. Of these players, at least 4 per team will be pitchers. Most teams in 1884 used 3 man rotations. Occasionally, certain players will have stats as both a pitcher and as a position player.
