Baseball by the Numbers

A baseball game for two or more players. The player at bat and the player in the field both roll dice for each at bat. If the results of the two dice rolls match, the batter makes contact with the ball. If they do not match, the outcome of the pitch is a ball, a strike, or a foul ball.

If the batter makes contact, the player at bat rolls the dice again to determine where on the field the ball is hit. The player in the field then rolls a die and moves a fielder based upon that roll in an attempt to make a play on the ball. If a fielder cannot be moved where he can make a play, the result is a base hit. If he can make a play, the result is an out.

The game comes packaged in a box which contains the title "Baseball by the Numbers" in large letters and the following sub-title: "New strategy game to teach the young and challenge the pros! Because when you get down to it, the game is played BY THE NUMBERS!"

Contents included: gameboard, 4 game markers, 20 scorekeeping pieces, 18 player pieces, and 4 dice.
