Special Detective
Special Detective is a game in which the police attempt to capture the bank robber before he can escape from the city.
The red car is the bandit's car; the remaining cars which are blue, green and yellow are police cars.
The bandit has first turn to play and starts at space "Bandit Starts Here." Once his car enters a street he must go forward to the next intersection unless he lands on a space indicating otherwise. Upon reaching an intersection, he may turn in either direction.
The police decide among themselves the order in which they will move; they will start separately from the spaces indicated on the board. Once a police car enters a street, it must continue to go in a forward direction until reaching the next intersection. Each police car moves in turn before the bandit's car moves again.
If a police car lands on the same space already occupied by the bandit's car, the bandit is considered captured and the game is over. If the bandit lands on the same space already occupied by a police car, then the police car is out of the game. If any player's car lands on a marker telling him to go back to another street or location, he immediately goes back as instructed; then on his next turn he has the option of starting again in any direction from that space.
The bandit must land on the space marked "FREE" by exact count to win the game. If he is six spaces from the "FREE" space, and throws seven, he is taken one space past and the chase continues.
