Rimau
A Malaysian abstract board game for two players. One takes the role of the Tiger, who is trying to eat the Men (orang-orang) and avoid capture. The Men must corner (or otherwise immobilize) the Tiger in order to win.
The Tiger is just one token on the board, and the Tiger can only jump over (eat) rows with an odd number of Man tokens. Men can move, but before that, the Man player takes their turn placing new Man tokens down on the board. Once the pool of 22 Men (some versions call for 24) has been emptied, the Man player may freely move the Man tokens.
Rimau is an asymmetrical strategy abstract that uses an expanded Alquerque board.
